Impressive Emirates breeze past Sunderland to reach Carabao cup semi finals



The gunners were already 1 nil up in the 17th  minute as impressive Nketiah put the ball into the opponents net after Lee Burge had pushed Rob Holdiong header into his way.


A wonderful doublet came 10 minutes later, after Pepe doubled the home team advantage.


Hard fighting Sunderland soon found the back of the opponents net in the 31st minutes as N Broadhead soon restored Sunderland's hope after a wonderful strike.


Sunderland ace Broadhead was forcefully sent off before the break. Arsenal soon took control of things soon after half time as  Nketian scored a lovely flick assisted by Nuno  Tavares, and also from Pepes ball with a wonderful back-heel skill.



Arsenal newest youngster Patino came off the bench in the 91st minute to lock the win for the gunners as he slid the ball into the back of the net, thanks to a cross from Pepe.


One key feature of Arsenal win tonight is the level of skill and communication in the team. Nketiah may have been the man of the match, Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino came off the bench to score his first senior team goal.



Mikel Arteta made nine clinical changes  with Emilie smith Rowe returning back to the starting line up while Emerick  Aubameyang still exiled from the squad.
