Today AFCON 2021 match saw a disappointing Ivory Coast team being held to a 22 draw by minions Sierra Leone.
The Elephants looks more deadly on the attack going forth and back into the Sierra Leone defense but were still unable to get their win over the Leone stars as Ivory Coast goalkeeper made an embarrassing mistake which Alhaji Kamara made a tap in to level up matters.
The Elephants got an early lead via Sebastian Halla goal which put them in front in the 25th minute.
The Leone stars soon got their ginger as their search for a goal was not forthcoming.
The Ivorians dominated the game but were not able to hold the Leone stars as Musa Noah Kamara got a superb goal in the 55th minute to level things up.
Nicolas Pepe made a fantastic goal in the 65th minute making a wonderful statement in the match.
The Ivorians continued to press on making wonderful goal attempts which were well defended by the Sierra Lone defenders.
In what look like an Ivory coast day, Alhaji Kamara got a goal via an embarrassing error from the Elephants goalkeeper, sparking wild celebrations by the Leone stars.
It looks like a Kamaras Day as both Kamaras recorded a goal to their name.
However. the Ivorians were better at every side recording 61% ball possession as against Sierra Leone 39%.
The Elephants had more shots in the game a total of 18 with 8 on target while the Leone stars just had 7 shots with 4 on target.
The Leone stars of Sierra Leone will now be hoping to qualify for the knockout stages as a win in the next game will just be what they need to get their tickets.
