AFCON; Super Eagles fly past Pharaohs of Egypt in matchday three

Salah tamed by hungry Eagles.
Nigerian Eagles waving after fans after tuesday's win

The super eagles of Nigeria flied past the Pharaohs of egypt in what is termed Salah's worst performance this year.

The Nigerian team which were earlier termed as underdogs in the game played brilliantly with midfield combination of Joe Aribo and Wilfred Ndidi dominating the game, making the Egyptian side look very ordinary, and also cutting all connections of the pharaohs to Mohammed Salah.

The games began with show of energy from the two sides with Nigerian Moses Simon playing good football and being very threatening to the Egyptian squad.

However the Nigerian fans had something to scream for as ace Kelechi Iheanacho firing the ball into the Egyptians net to put Nigeria on the lead.

The early goal only motivated the Nigeria team as Kelechi Iheanacho missed an opportunity to double Nigeria lead.

Second Half Review

Egypt seem to have found the equalizer in the second half as Mohammed Salah failed to move the ball over Maduka Okoye.

The Nigerian team further showed why they are called the giant of Africa as they continued to fly past Egypt in the second half, with substitute Chidera Ejuke almost sealing his country's win but his shot hit straight at El Shenawy.

The Pharaohs didn't look impressive as they had only 3 shots on target through out the whole match while Nigeria had five.

The super eagles now seat comfortably as table toppers and would hope to win all subsequent matches.

Next Matches

Next up, Super Eagles face Sudan, a very dangerous Team, while the Pharaohs of Egypt face Guinea Bissau to keep their Africa Cup of Nations dreams going.
