Formula 1 outfit Mercedes have revealed their new look car as they kick start their 2022 title bid.
The Mercedes W13 which was launched a day after Michael Masi was removed from his position as race director.
Lewis Hamilton, was accosted by new British racer and teammate George Russell as They unveiled the new piece.
Mercedes definitely made a mark for themselves in a black livery, with a silver arrow which Mercedes tagged as going forward.
The Livery which was made in conjunction with the new rules, creating a fresh atmosphere and a fresh challenge amongst the racers, with Mercedes determined to maintain their record eighth unbeaten consecutive streak of constructor of the season title.
The launch was however a unique one as it marked Sir Hamilton first media interview since the controversial Abhu Dhabi grand prix title decider race which saw Max Verstappen becoming the Formula 1 champion.
When asked about his future plans in the competition, Hamilton said
"There's no feeling quite like it".
"I never ever said I was going to stop, I love doing what I do and it is such a privilege working with this large group of people. There's no feeling quite like it.
Hamilton was definitely not shy to admit about the difficult time the Abhu Dhabi Prix caused him stating that...
"It was obviously a difficult time for me, so I had my family all around me and creating great moments".
With the launch, Mercedes becomes the eighth team to unveil their car for the 2022 season.
Mercedes director Toto Wolff showered praises on the formula 1 team for making the right step after sacking of Masi, also stressing that Hamilton never asked for his removal as speculated.
Speaking of Hamilton Wolff said
"I think that adversity has always made him stronger, more resilient and determined, this is the attitude I feel in him right now and the mindset I see in the team." insisted Wolff.
Wolff also insisted that Hamilton comes into the new formula 1 season with renewed energy, with a wonderful teammate in Gorge Russell who replaced Valtteri Bottas.
Russell is a graduate from Mercedes and has raced for Williams for three seasons.
"I see Hamilton as a superhero", said Russell.
"You see these incredible people and you think they are not human.”
"Growing up and having the opportunity to race alongside Lewis is a real privilege for me because I've got such a great opportunity to learn and see how the best do it.”
Mercedes have also pledged their support for the revolutionary new rules, with Toto Wolff impressed by the new designs.
"As a team we have grown from the Silver Arrows to slowly becoming a more diverse and inclusive team and therefore our colors going forward will be silver and black."
